Job Capacity Assessments
The HSA Group, through Work Solutions and Health For Industry, is a major provider of Job Capacity Assessments, a new Australian Government program that started on 1 July 2006.
The program aims to assess a person's capacity to work and any barriers or impediments that prevent them from getting a job.
People undergoing an assessment will typically be claiming or receiving government benefit payments and be referred for assessment through Centrelink or a job network provider.
Our specially trained staff assess a person's work capacity, identify any barriers to work and connect them directly to employment or support services that suit their individual needs.
Job Capacity Account Services
A special account-the Job Capacity Account-has been set up by the government to fund services to help people referred for Job Capacity Assessments who have pre-vocational barriers such as medical conditions or personal factors.
The objective of Job Capacity Account services is to help these people overcome, manage or work around their pre-vocational barriers.
The HSA Group, through Work Solutions and Health For Industry, has developed and delivers four Job Capacity Account services:
- Pain management: a comprehensive 8 week program tailored to assist clients in the management of pain. Also includes a physical conditioning program.
- Anxiety: a comprehensive 8 week program focused on reducing anxiety and panic in a variety of settings. Provides clients with tools to combat anxiety resulting from phobic/panic/social/ traumatic/generalised anxiety.
- Depression: a comprehensive 8 week program which addresses the reasons for depression and provides clients with an array of tools to manage and elevate their mood.
- Counselling: an individually tailored counselling program suitable for a wide range of psychological concerns, including grief and loss and anger management.
